Very Important Testimonials

July 7, 2009 Vienna

I have been with VIP and Connie Daly for approximately two years.  Connie and her husband Dennis have been lifesavers.  My dog, Vienna , developed liver problems.  Thanks to the coordinated efforts of Connie, the various Vets and me, we were able to determine what was causing her liver enzymes to be abnormal.  When I was not able to take Vienna to her vet visits, Connie did.  She spoke at length with each veterinarian and reported back to me either immediately by calling me directly from the vet’s office, or contacting me later in the evening.  I have never experienced anyone who loves and cares for animals the way Connie and Dennis do.  I can’t thank her or Dennis enough.  It is so assuring to have someone care for my beloved as much as I do.  I can rest knowing that Vienna is getting the best care possible.  It turns out that Vienna has many food allergies and in addition is allergic to various grasses.  Unfortunately, Vienna also likes to eat grass.  Connie is aware of this and when she walks Vienna , she is ever vigilant to make sure she does not eat anything that will harm her.  She could not be in better hands.

Bodhi"I searched high and low for the perfect rescue dog to add to my family and make my house a home.  I am now the proud owner of a beautiful black lab who is a family member and a best friend.  As such I was not about to entrust him with just anyone.  I first noticed Connie walking other dogs in my neighborhood.  I figured that she had many dogs at home because I always saw her with one or two different dogs but she treated them as though they were her own.  I researched VIP and Connie and invited her over to the house.  Within minutes I knew she was a perfect match - professional, fun, loving, interested and educated.  She took the time to get to know me and my dog and now we are at the point where he only settles down and allows me to leave for work if I expressly state " Aunt Connie will be here soon!"  She is dependable and caring and just a true Godsend.  I highly recommend her and her service to anyone who wants to rest 100 percent easy when they leave their pet in her caring hands."

AllyMy husband and I have been using Very Important Petz for about a year now (since summer 2008) for Boo, our nine-year-old American Bulldog/Pit mix, and Ally, our two-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix. We had never used a pet sitter before and always had to scramble to find someone to come and let Ally and Boo out or someplace to board them (which the dogs hated) when we would go away. We had seen the Very Important Petz sign on Connie’s car and thought we’d give her a try. You can’t beat the convenience of a pet sitter or the compassion that Connie has for her furry clients. In January 2009, at the last minute, we had the opportunity to go to Pittsburgh for the Steelers – Chargers play-off game and needed to use her. We made a weekend of it, and while we were gone, Ally got really sick. Connie impressed us by not only cleaning up all of the messes (which were extensive, and I’m sure pretty gross), but she understood the seriousness of how ill she was and took the initiative to contact our vet and make special home-cooked food for her. This turned out to be the start of a serious illness for Ally which required life-saving surgery a month later. Connie cared enough to check in with us to see how Ally was doing. Ally is now well and back to being the diva she has always been. We highly recommend Connie and Very Important Petz.

"I almost never go away, but recently I left my 5 cats in the reliable hands of Connie Daly from VIP. It was the best decision I could have made. I interviewed a few Pet Sitters before hiring VIP, but what really stood out with Connie was her attention to detail and her overwhelming desire to take care of my cats just like I do. It is not an easy task since I have 5 cats that don’t all eat the same food, some of which are on medications, some of which are difficult to feed, and who of course each have a distinct personality.

Connie came to my home twice before I left and stayed both times at least an hour. She went over the directions with me, studied them at home, and came prepared to handle every situation. While away, each day I received a different picture of each of my “babies” along with a brief synopsis of how they were doing. When I arrived home I had an adorable “card” from my kitties telling me how much they missed me. The most telling sign that she did an excellent job is that I came home to NO messes – a true feat – since when you have 5 cats there are bound to be issues.

She is excellent, reliable, and a true blessing to our family. Most importantly, it gave us peace of mind that our kitties were in trustworthy and dependable hands. I would recommend her again and again."

Connie cared for my cat. Gizmo is a shy cat (half Persian, half Himalayan) who is scared of his own shadow. He cannot be left alone for longer than a few hours. I live in NJ (outside of Philly) and was doing many workshops in the Harrisburg area for career development. I knew that the traveling back and fourth would be too much for him so Connie cared for him as if he were her own pet.

It went extremely well. Connie is efficient and professional in her work. I was apprehensive as I am not comfortable leaving Gizmo with anyone but knew I had no choice. Gizmo sensed Connie's gentle spirit and was willing to sit in her lap in less than an hour (usually he'll hide behind a sofa for hours when someone new comes to the house). Connie meticulously cleaned his eyes every day, and combed his overwhelming little mane of fur and cared for him as if he were a human being or more! I would only recommend Connie Daly to care for your pet if you want the best possible care available for your furry (feathered) loved one.

Dear Pet Owner:

I write on behalf of Connie Daly, one of the owners of Very Important Petz. She is a warm wonderful person who has a wonderful sense of humor...but those are not traits that are relevant to our pets.

On paper, there is so much about Connie that is admirable...her eldercare experience, her experience at running a successful daycare business for many years and more. But the most important thing about Connie is that she treated my pet as if he was her own...and there are no words to explain that or amount of money to pay for it. She is the only person other than my mother or my husband that I trust with my pet. She approaches each animal like there is no other and - believe it or not - they can sense that. Animals are like children and can sense a kind spirit and a responsible heart from a mile away.

I am endorsing Connie as a person, as a business owner, but most importantly - as the best of the best in care giving for pets...she will and has done everything possible to make her pet clients feel loved, cared for, and secure - including whatever exercise, medications, or other needs they may have.

I recommend Connie and would go as far as to say that you will not find a better business but more importantly - a better person - to care for your dear creature or creatures.

Best Regards,

ElphabaI love it when Connie visits!

Mommy has to go on long day trips sometimes. And I can't hold it very long. So she contacted Very Important Petz. Connie from there has come to see me a few times and mommy says she'll definitely bring her back.

She plays with me lots, plus she checks in and plays with the kitties too. Then she takes me on a nice long walk and feeds me. And then she always emails mommy when she gets home to let mommy know how good I was. Plus she leaves mommy a really nice note on everything we did on our visit. I don't mind so much when Mommy is gone all day if Connie comes to play with me!

To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Mrs. Connie Daly of since January of 2004, when she started providing daycare and babysitting for my son, then 4 month old. She also baby-sits my older daughter on occasion and has helped take care of my dog as well.

Since this time, I have found Connie to be most caring, trusting and responsible person who made every effort so our children were provided the best care and that our needs were met. She always made sure we understood how she was providing care and communicated very well if any issues or situations came up with our children. This was very reassuring since my wife and I are always very busy, myself employed for the Department of Public Welfare and my wife for Capital Blue Cross.

For the 2006-07 school year, both our families took-in an exchange student, one from Korea living with the Dalys and one from China living with my family. Together, we were able to ensure that both these students had a very enriching experience, helping them meet academic and social goals by providing the home-like and emotional support needed to endure success. Again, Connie proved to be a very caring and nurturing person, demonstrating her thoughtfulness, high-energy and love for others.

Today, I am pleased to call Connie a friend. She is an outstanding citizen who works hard at everything she does. I have no hesitation in recommending her for any position that would require special care. Considering that she has been a pet owner for many years, she is well suited for her enterprise “Very Important Petz.” I have no doubt that she will benefit any family that enlists her pet sitting services.

Hi,

My name is Maggie and I just love Connie, Sam and the rest of the family. Connie's been taking care of me since December 07. My mom works long hours in the York/Hanover area so it's so great to have Connie visit every day. I'm barely 2 years old so I have a lot of energy. Connie and I have so much fun walking, running and playing (especially in the snow!). Mommy knows I'm well taken care of. When she comes home I am well exercised and content!

Thank you Connie and VIP for my "day care". Mommy thanks you too!

Maggie, golden retriever
